Bringing Tech Experience to the Field
Brett brings many years of customer service and IT experience to his role as a field technician. He enjoys the dynamic nature of his work in the radio communication industry, which constantly evolves and presents new challenges.
Brett quickly found his stride at Chicago Communications, where he plays a key role in supporting customers and systems in the field.
Keeping Critical Systems Running
Today, Brett supports several of our large managed service customers. In this role, he helps maintain systems essential to their day-to-day operations, whether radio infrastructure, equipment troubleshooting, or hands-on tech support. He works closely with internal teams and customers to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and systems are running.
Stepping Up as a Team Leader
Since being appointed Union Steward in late 2023, Brett has also stepped into a leadership role within the organization. He liaises between field technicians and leadership, helping ensure questions, concerns, and feedback are communicated clearly and addressed quickly.
Meet Brett Outside the Job
Outside work, Brett enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, Louie (short for Louis Vuitton) — a Morkie with many nicknames, including "King Louis Duke of Sass."
He’s also passionate about cooking, which he describes as “therapeutic and rewarding.” Whether preparing meals for loved ones or digging into a new recipe, Brett enjoys creating something from scratch.
His go-to snack? Brett said, "Snickers, because who doesn't love a Snickers bar! I’m not me when I’m hungry,” he jokes.
