Cindy brings over 30 years of industry experience to Chicago Communications. As Principal, she is responsible for the company’s operations, including finance, marketing, IT, human resources, and facility management.
Cindy attended the University of Illinois and Lake Forest College, earning a degree in Math and Computer Science. She also earned her MBA from Northern Illinois University, and a Master of Science in International Business from Roosevelt University.
She was employed at Motorola in the Communications and Electronics business for over 20 years, holding positions in Systems Engineering, Technical Support Management, Quality Assurance, Operations Management, Account Management, and Global Human Resources.
Cindy is a member of the Management Association of Illinois.
As Principal, Kurt is responsible for sales and service at Chicago Communications. His responsibilities include evaluating and forming new strategies as business changes, as well as ensuring that the company represents the right products, from the right partners, and has sufficiently trained resources to meet customer needs.
Upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, Kurt went to work for Motorola. There, Kurt spent the next 20 years working in sales and management roles, holding positions in Commercial Accounts, National Key Accounts (Fortune 500), the Rental Department, and Public Safety. When the opportunity to join Chicago Communications came about, it was a natural progression in Kurt’s career, as it allowed him to utilize his knowledge and experience from his many years at Motorola.
Kurt served as a board member of the Great Lakes MSS Association for 4 years and also on Motorola’s Service Advisory Council for 5 years.
Tom brings over 38 years of experience in the wireless communications industry. He oversees sales and service on a day-to-day basis and is responsible for working with the sales team to develop customer solutions, engineering, and design.
Tom's history of involvement of all aspects of the business has led to his diverse knowledge of both product sales and service. He began his career at Chicago Communications working as a technician after graduating from DeVry, where he studied electronics. His role soon grew to include building out Dispatch Centers and managing Chicago Communications' paging business. When a supervisor position opened up, Tom began managing day-to-day operations for Chicago Communications' Lake County facility, after which he became General Manager for all of Service.
Tom is a current member of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials, and also sits on the Motorola Partner Advisory Council for Motorola Radio Dealers.
John brings 35 years of experience working and managing almost every aspect of the company’s business. As Service Director, he is responsible for all shop and field service, installation, and maintenance support functions of Chicago Communications. John oversees the company’s supervisors, technicians, and installers.
Starting his career as a mobile installer just before the rise of cell phone technology in 1983, John repaired phones directly for manufacturers such as Motorola and Ameritech. His technical abilities led to a supervisory role at Chicago Communications, managing the installation and technical crews. These experiences prepared him for his current position within the organization, overseeing one of the largest Motorola Premier Service Providers in the country.
Lisa brings 17 years of marketing experience to Chicago Communications. She is responsible for the company's marketing efforts at the strategic, technical, and creative levels. She’s in charge of social media, brand development, web site traffic growth, product promotions, tradeshows, direct marketing, inbound marketing, ecommerce, SEO, and advertising revenue.
Upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Lisa continued her education and obtained her MBA in Marketing. She has worked for both Fortune 500 companies and small businesses. She brings with her broad experience in all aspects of B2B and B2C market analysis, advertising and sales promotions.
Lisa is a member of the Business Marketing Association.
John has been with Chicago Communications since 2006 and brings over 30 years accounting/management experience.
In his role as Controller/Director of Operations, John manages the day-to-day accounting functions at Chicago Communications, including cash management, payroll, accounts receivable, invoicing, credit and collections, and accounts payable. He is also responsible for office, accounting, and inventory control policies and procedures. John prepares and analyzes monthly company financial statements, and annual budget/projection financials. He also assists with the administration of HR and employee benefits and responsible for State(s) sales and use taxes.
John earned a BS in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from Dominican University. He is a certified CPA.
