Tom brings over 46 years of experience in the wireless communications industry. As General Manager, he oversees all aspects of the company's operations, leading a cross-functional team of sales professionals, engineers, and technicians to deliver innovative wireless communication solutions — including two-way radio systems, 911 dispatch centers, DAS networks, and video surveillance — while driving revenue growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the company's reputation as a trusted Motorola Elite Service Specialist across the Chicagoland area.
He began his career at Chicago Communications as a technician after graduating from DeVry, where he studied electronics. His role soon grew to include building Dispatch Centers and managing Chicago Communications' paging business. When a supervisory position opened, Tom began managing day-to-day operations at Chicago Communications' Lake County facility, and later became general manager for all of service.
Tom is a current member of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials.
Kurt HesslerKurt is responsible for sales and service at Chicago Communications. His responsibilities include evaluating and developing new strategies as the business changes, ensuring the company offers the right products from the right partners, and maintaining sufficient training resources to meet customer needs.
Upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, Kurt joined Motorola. He spent the next 20 years there in sales and management roles, holding positions in Commercial Accounts, National Key Accounts (Fortune 500), the Rental Department, and Public Safety. When the opportunity to join Chicago Communications arose, it was a natural progression in Kurt’s career, allowing him to apply the knowledge and experience he gained over many years at Motorola.
Kurt served on the board of the Great Lakes MSS Association for four years and on Motorola’s Service Advisory Council for five years.
Cindy brings over 40 years of industry experience to Chicago Communications. She is responsible for the company’s operations, including finance, marketing, IT, human resources, and facility management.
Cindy attended the University of Illinois and Lake Forest College, earning a degree in Math and Computer Science. She also earned her MBA from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Science in International Business from Roosevelt University.
She worked at Motorola in the Communications and Electronics business for over twenty years, holding positions in Systems Engineering, Technical Support Management, Quality Assurance, Operations Management, Account Management, and Global Human Resources.
Cindy is a member of the Management Association of Illinois.
Emory LudtkeEmory brings over 35 years of experience working across and managing nearly every aspect of the company’s technical services. As Service Director, he is responsible for all shop and field service, installation, and maintenance support functions of Chicago Communications. Emory oversees the company’s supervisors, technicians, and installers.
Emory's career began with his service in the Air Force, after which he moved into the wireless industry. He held multiple roles at various wireless companies before joining Chicago Communications, where he has advanced through every technical position.
Lisa MacGillivrayLisa brings 30 years of marketing experience to Chicago Communications. She oversees the company's strategic, technical, and creative marketing efforts, including social media, brand development, website traffic growth, product promotions, trade shows, direct marketing, inbound marketing, SEO, and advertising revenue.
Upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Lisa earned an MBA in Marketing. She has worked for both Fortune 500 companies and small businesses. She brings her broad experience in B2B and B2C market analysis, advertising, and sales promotions.
Cathy KulnigCathy brings 30 years of sales experience to Chicago Communications. She is the Director of Business Development, who oversees the company's Partnerships with our Enterprise and Fortune 500 customers. Cathy has worked in all aspects of sales at Chicago Communications and throughout her Management Career. Building Wireless Communication Solutions for our Government and Enterprise customers and leading our Commercial Sales Team. Her expertise is in developing larger customers and building long-term relationships and partnerships.
Cathy graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a BDA in Communications and Theater performance. She has been in the Motorola Heavy Hitters and Legend Club over the last 7 years, achieving success through sales exceeding $1 million, and has been recognized nationwide.
