Missed our open house on September 9th? Here's a recap of the presentations, prizes, and conversations that made the night a success.

What Tech Was On Display?

Throughout the evening, we gave a firsthand look at how far communications and security have come, and what's possible when the right technology is in place.

Avtec Presentation

Avtec Scout is dispatch software that lets dispatchers manage voice and radio communications from a single screen, no matter what radio, phone, or broadband systems you're already running. It's built for the demands of public safety and enterprise operations, and it's designed to keep working as your needs change and grow.

SeQent Demo

Next up was SeQent, a tool built specifically for plant and facility teams who want to be proactive instead of reactive. SeQent's alarm notification software is built to be easy to install and infinitely scalable, taking alerts straight from your equipment, whether that's a temperature sensor or a machine going down, and sending them right to a radio in someone's hand.

When an alarm goes off, SeQent doesn't just ping one person; it automatically escalates through a pre-set chain of people until someone acknowledges it, improving product quality and reducing downtime.

Motorola Ecosystem Session

And here’s where it all connects: our team also showcased how radios, cameras, and command center software all talk to each other. Public safety and businesses face many of the same threats, and they're better equipped to handle them when their tools and teams work as one unified system instead of separate pieces.

Take a hospital, for example. If someone breaches a restricted area, maybe a maternity ward or a medication room, an access control system detects the door breach and immediately notifies security. At the same time, nearby cameras pull up live video feeds and share images of the intruder with both security staff and nearby nurses.

This ecosystem equips a security team with the real-time information they need to respond and keep staff safe.

SmartPTT Walkthrough

SmartPTT wrapped things up by simplifying dispatch control. Voice, GPS tracking, job assignments, emergency alerts—all in one place instead of five different logins. Dispatchers can see exactly where every unit is and reach them instantly, without toggling between screens in a crisis. That kind of consolidation doesn't just save time—it cuts down on the split-second confusion that costs lives when seconds matter. And because it all lives in one interface, new dispatchers get up to speed faster instead of learning five disconnected tools.
